Tone | |||
14 | Perspective | 3rd person is used in RR and the first person is used in SLS | |
15 | Passive voice | RR should be mostly in the passive voice, SLS could follow the active or passive voice and a mix of two, whatever suitable for the situation | |
16 | Past tense | RR should be written in the past tense, as you are reporting on your research findings. | |
17 | Uncertainty | Avoid using the word might, as it shows uncertainty. For example ” The revenue of the company had increased due to ……..” if you would have used might, that shows uncertainty and that you are not confident in your research work. | |
18 | Coherence and Structure | The report has followed a structured approach and has achieved coherence by appropriately linking all the information/research undertaken. | |

19 | Graphs and visual aids used | An appropriate amount of graphs and visual aids have been used to engage the business reader. | |
20 | Spell and Grammar check | Run Spell and grammar check using word and also by reading your report multiple times. | |
21 | Punctuations | Make sure appropriate punctuations have been used. | |
22 | Word limit | RR words are not less than 7,000 and not more than 7,500 words | |

The information is very detailed and is a must to follow while writing the report. The tone and formatting section in particular are essential to write a professional and appealing research report.Highly recommend to read and apply this while writing the report and also confirm you followed these instructions before submitting.
This checklist was really helpful for me to ensure all requirements were met prior to submission. It is very particular and summarises all important details in the info pack and gives a bit more. I highly recommend all students undertaking RAP to read this atleast a week before submission so that you don’t miss out anything which may affect the pass criteria.
This is a great checklist for all those who are pursuing the OBU thesis project. Having successfully completed the project, I can assure that this checklist is rightly compiled and sets out all the information students must be aware of prior to submitting the thesis. I highly recommend all the students to refer to this checklist in order to ensure compliance with all the requirements which will definitely contribute towards success. Mehwish has put in hard work and great efforts and done a wonderful job in compiling the checklist.

This is a very well constructed and comprehensive checklist. I used it constantly leading up to the deadline to ensure I was on track and didn’t miss any important details. Mehwish has done a lot of work to make the RAP writing experience as smooth as possible. I would highly recommend everyone writing their OBU RAP also use this great checklist as a guide.
This was a very helpful checklist, with that the whole learning experience that I gained from the mentor is uncanny. I would totally recommend this mentorship to anyone who wants to complete their Obu Rap.
This checklist have provided all the important details of the information pack and it was really helpful in the last moment for just having a quick check on what all to submit and if we have met all the requirements. Just going through during the final days of submission was really useful.
When i was about to submit my project, this check list provided me summarized form of OBU information pack guidelines. I had easily check my project with this check list to ensure that it meets OBU submission criteria in the last moments.
Instead of reading the long infopack, this checklist pointed out the important points that i must check before my submission.
